Stoney Creek Chamber of Commerce members attended a networking lunch at the Renaissance Banquet and Special Events Centre, where Canadian Chamber of Commerce board of directors' Chair and President and CEO of Andrew Peller Limited, John Peller spoke about issues facing small business owners in Ontario.

"I think my ultimate message is to make sure that people understand the realities of the changing global business environment and that they have to be innovative, they have to work harder, become more productive and be more focused on where their opportunities are… being best practiced doesn’t mean being the best in just Stoney Creek or Hamilton, it means finding out what the best in the world does and setting a very high standard for your goals," said Mr. Peller. Stoney Creek Chamber of Commerce president Bennie Esposto says Mr. Peller’s message is  important. "I think he hit the business economic issues right on, especially with the issue of globalization and being more competitive out there in the world and we need to wake up to that."
